Effect of Packaging Films and Freshness Keeping Agents on Fruit Quality of ¢¥Yumyung¢¥ Peaches during MA Storage

Abstract
This study was conducted to investigate the effects of film permeability and freshness keeping agents on fruit quality of ¢¥Yumyung¢¥ peaches during MA Storage using film bags. Types of film used in this study were anti-fog film 18 um, PVDC coating film 20 um, PVDC coating film 30 um, PE film 20 um. Paper bags were used as control. In the PVDC coated film 30um bags, the CO©ü concentration was higher than those in the other film bags, whereas the O©ü concentration was lower than those in the other film bags. The production of ethylene was sharply inhibited. Wrapping using the film maintained fruit firmer and more fresh than other treatment. Addition of freshness keeping agents inside film bags reduced ethylene and CO©ü concentration but did not influence O©ü concentration. However, there was no significant difference in the quality between treatments with/without freshness keeping agent except that soluble solid was low in the treatment with freshness keeping agents.
